In India there are 90 million (current estimate) older persons, 33% live lower than the poverty line, 90% are from the unorganized segment with no social security, and 73% are uneducated and are dependent on substantial labor. The underprivileged elderly have to be considered through a mixture of services in the areas of monetary, health and emotional security. Therefore, many NGO is are working in favor of these people and providing help to them. Few of them, which are good, are given below.
Help Age India:
Help Age emphasizes on welfare as well as integrated age concern services for the elderly in urban & rural areas. Recently new services have been ongoing such as Elder Help lines, health care and accessible services are being experimented in new areas. The Mobile Medicare Unit service in some areas provides basic health care and provides disability aids, dwelling assistance, yoga, dedicated home visits, and provision of psychological therapy too.

Catholic Relief Services:
They organize the activities of the Clinton Foundation Pediatric ART Initiative and perform the tracking and reporting for all projects funded by the CRS/HQ One World Capital Campaign. They help PQ Team to develop and implement awareness of HIV/AIDS and conduct internal technological reviews of CRS/India HIV/AIDS proposals and frequently analyze HIV/AIDS data from the CRS/India MIS and share response with State Offices and PQ Team.
